I’m sitting in the ER with my grandparents waiting for my granny to go into surgery. I’m so sorry this isn’t your normal post online but I don’t know when I’ll get back to my house. As I sit here, I’m watching a man who has loved the same lady for over 70 years and still look at her in complete adoration even though she has no idea who he is 💔 He’s 90 and she is 88. What a life they have lived together! I want that ❤️ we all do and God willing we all hope to be that little old couple, holding hands through it all and weathering life together until the very end. Today, I want you to pray over your marriage for a long life with your spouse.
Pray over these verses:
Proverbs 16:31 “Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained in the way of righteousness.” Lord, long life is a reward to the righteous, help us to be patient as you mold our marriage into your image.
Deuteronomy 4:40 – “Therefore you shall keep his statutes and his commandments, which I command you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land that the LORD your God is giving you for all time.” Lord, I pray we hide your word in our hearts and stay obedient. I pray you bless us, our children and generations after that with long and healthy lives.
Lord, I thank you for this man who was created before even his mother knew he would exist. Thank you for writing our names together as one. I pray we grow old together. I thank you for our good health. I pray you strengthen our bones, bodies, our hearts and our minds and that they work just as the day you created us until our last breath together.
Challenge:
Give your husband a warm hug and tell him you’re looking forward to growing old and gray with him ❤️
