“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” Ezekiel 36:26
What a night! If you missed Monday nights get together, you missed a good one! I hope some of your husbands are standing a little taller today and walking on air (wink, wink) I know everyone had a good night and good laughs but we have to get back to business today and keep ourselves prayed up. Take a deep breath in, feel that? That’s your sign that it’s never too late to start over. It’s your daily reminder that if you don’t like how things are going on in your world at this very moment, you have the power and the ability to change course. David found courage to fight Goliath and he became a king. Jonah found courage to follow Gods direction and it led to one of the biggest revivals. Saul was persecuting Christians and Jesus transformed his heart. He spread the gospel and became an apostle. God can and will change your circumstances with a willing and repented heart. Whether you are not happy with the decisions you’ve made in life, or the current state your marriage is in, your mental state or your physical health. Today can be a new day of change and a new beginning if you want it. God doesn’t just transforms but he redeems! I love listening to testimonies. They always end with, “but God.” But God came along and I had an encounter. But God changed my life. But God made me a new person. But God healed my heart. But God made me whole. It’s not a question of if God can change your circumstances, the question is will you allow Him? Now, take another deep breath…let it out…He is a mighty miracle worker, allow Him to breath new life into the areas of your world that need change.
Prayer Prompt
Ask the Lord to help him change direction that chases after Gods heart.
“Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” Isaiah 30:21
Lord, I pray my husband is sensitive to your voice. I pray you keep his ears opened and his heart obedient. I pray that when you show him where to go and the next step he should take, he will recognize and walk in it confidently. I pray he always pivots towards your voice.
Ask the Lord to help remind your husband when he’s discouraged that tomorrow is a new day.
“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.” 2 Corinthians 4:16
Lord, I pray my husband hides this verse in his heart when he’s discouraged. Remind him that every day is a new beginning and a new chance to be renewed and washed in your word. Build up his heart and make it strong. I pray he would always push through and persevere.
Challenge:
Tape a note to the back of the toilet with the date of your anniversary. Draw a heart on it with the words, “Best day of my life.”
